In a custody dispute, the messages between the parents are often the best evidence of how each of them communicates, honors the schedule and supports the child's relationship with the other parent. The problem is volume. Nobody can put four thousand texts in front of a judge.
A chronology lets you find the entries that matter and go straight to the original. Because each entry carries its source page, you are never relying on my summary of what someone said. You can read the message itself.
The chronology is a work product for counsel. It does not authenticate messages or make anything admissible; that remains a matter for you and the court.
